After the night of the Oscars, don't you feel like watching a good film? I am sure you do. So this month you have to think about a film that you have recently seen and particularly enjoy and answer the questions below. Remember you must answer all the questions in order to pass this writing task.
TASK 1
You are going to go to the cinema this weekend. Your friend Alex is going with you. Write a note to Alex.
Say:
* what FILM you are going to watch
* where you are going to watch the film
* what TIME the film will start
Write 25-35 words
TASK 2
Think of a good film you have recently seen. Your friend Chris wants to know about the film.
Say:
* the title of the film
* who the main actor/actress is/are
* why you particularly like this film

EliminarHere are my comments for your two writing tasks. First of all, I'd like to say that you have done a wonderful task.
Task 1: you have answered the three questions really well. Thus, you have said: the title of the film, the cinema where you are going to watch it and the time when the film begins.
Things you can improve: it is not necessary to say the time at which the film ends. And, in English, we simply say that "the film starts at four" - we don't say "hours", ok?
In the invitation for your friend, I like the way you introduce the invitation, using "How about if we..." but then you shouldn't put "will", just the verb "see". And, of course, it is not necessary to translate the place where you are going to watch the film as it sounds a bit odd, alright?
Task 2: this second task is not so good, I'm afraid. You have tried to answer the three questions but, in comparison with the first task - where everything you say is easily understood - in this second task it's difficult to understand your meaning.
Things to improve: You could have started saying something like: "the film I have recently seen is Grease" because "the movie you are very well" doesn't mean anything!!! In Spanish it would be translated as "la peli que tu estás muy bien"...
Moreover, in a film we don't speak about "authors" but about "actors and actresses" so you could have said something like: "the main actors are...".
Finally, the last question: "why you particularly like this film" is answered but contains many mistakes so it's difficult to understand. What you say would be translated as "para mí esta peli es porque me gusta la música y me encanta y adolescente". Does it make any sense to you? So you could have said something like: "To me this film is really good because I like the music and I love films about teenagers" or "I like the music and the romantic story about teenagers".
Your final mark for task 1 is 4/5
Your final mark for task 2 is 2/5
Your final total mark for both tasks is 6/10.

So you will go to "Heron City", ok? In the final sentence I will write something like "...and we will get there very quickly". Your final mark for this task 1 is 3.75/5
As for the second task, you have also answered all the questions but there are, once again,some minor mistakes you should correct and avoid in the future. For example: I have recently seen (present perfect) is a fantastic way of starting the writing. You have simply put the past participle and this is not correct. Another very common mistake in KET is to forget "it" before the verb "is" as it is the case in "because IT is very interesting" (not interested).
Also, it is a good idea if you finish the writing task saying "Bye" and then you write your name, ok? Your final mark for this second task is 4/5.

EliminarI am nicely surprised by your both pieces of writing. They sound really natural but I am afraid there's a problem with them: you have written many words!!! (more than 60 words in task 1 and 2). In this sense, and despite the fact that the writing is rich and it flows, you would be penalised!!!
Remember that have to answer all the questions in 25-35 words.
Moreover, in task 2 you haven't said "Hello Alex" (or something similar) and you haven't said "Bye" and written your name. This is another penalisation.
In this sense - and although I would give you a 4/5 in each task, in the real exam you would only get 3/5 in the first task and 2.25/5 in the second. Therefore, your final mark for this KET writing exercise is 5.25/10
Why don't you try to write again the tasks but respecting the number of words? Please please please :)
